WELCOME!!!
Ello everyone! Welcome to the Fairies club! This club is basically for any fairy-lover on MT. You can come here and share your love for fairies with all other fairy-lovers. Of course, it's a place to make friends, hang out, and just talk. Hopefully, we can all become a mini-family! :)
The idea for the group came from me (TreeFarieAaliyah) and phoenixalcott. We both love fairies (although she's more crazy about them than me) and hope this club can grow to be very big one day.
So, in order to keep this page alive, interesting, and fun, we'd appreciate any ideas. If you have any, just PM me or phoenixalcott. Also, if you'd like to be a moderator, please ask. We'd like two or three active mods for now (until the club gets bigger). Lastly, anyone who knows about html, making layouts, coding, and anything of the sort, and is interested in being an admin, please contact me or phoenix. We need all the help we can get (especially since neither of us know much about that stuff).

RULES
1. Don't insult other members. We want a good atmosphere here and if people start getting mad at eachother, all we'll do is make enemies.
2. Please don't post ecchi, hentai, or any of the sort. Keep it clean!
3. Try to watch you language. Some people are sensitive about cursing, so if you must, put stars or something.
4. Try to be active! This group will never grow if no one goes to it! Participate and contributeb as much as you can.

ACTIVITIES
what can you do around here?
1) Make a wallpaper! -- As you can see, our gallery is pretty empty. We'd greatly appreciate it if you could make wallpapers to fill it up! They don't specifically HAVE to relate to fairies. They can relate to magic or magical creatures too!
2) Make a banner! -- We'd also love if you could make banners! It can be of anythign relating to fairies! All your banners will be shown on the site for the members to choose from which to use.
3) Write stories and/or poems! -- Use your imagination and write up a story and/or poem about these little winged creatures!!! The story will be posted on the Fairies Page so the whole group can see it!
4) Submit literature! -- It can be a story, poem, fanfiction, or anythign else literary relating to fairies! If the piece of writing is not yours, make sure to give the proper credit.
5) Submit mixed media! -- It can be quizzes, music, videos, etc! All these qill be shown on the page at one point! Make sure to state where you get quizzes and videos from if they were not made by you and who the music artist is.
6) Post pictures in the guestbook! -- Post as many pictures as you want about fairies in the guestbook! We'd all love to see new pictures of these tiny winged creatures!
7) Participate in discussions about different topics relating to fairies OR pose questions about fairies or these topics.-- At times, there will be questions posed about fairies and their existence. Participate in these and state your opinion! If you have a question yourself, pose the question to the group! We'd gladly discuss it!

This week, there will be a true/false question. Below, there are two pictures and information posted below. State your opinion on what you think of them. Is the information/pictures true or false? The poll will be put here below the pictures and information. The answer will be posted next week.
Maybe not anymore but a recent discovery would suggest that they probably did. What appear to be the mummified remains of a fairy have been discovered in the Derbyshire countryside.
The 8inch remains complete with wings, skin, teeth and flowing red hair have been examined by anthropologists and forensice experts who can confirm that the body is genuine. X-rays of the 'fairy' reveal an anatomically identical skeleton to that of a child. The bones however, are hollow like those of a bird making them particularly light. The puzzling presence of a navel even suggests that the beings reproduce the same as humans despite the absence of reproductive organs.

According to the description that accompanies these photographs, they show the remains of a fairy that was discovered by a man walking his dog between villages in Derbyshire, England. The photographs also circulate without any description and refer to the remains as a "Butterfly Man" in the email subject line. However, the fairy depicted in the photographs is actually a model created as an April Fool's Day prank by UK artist and magician, Dan Baines.
Mr Baines placed the images on a website along with a detailed, although entirely fictional, description of the "find". The website quickly received thousands of visitors interested in the Derbyshire fairy and its author was inundated with emails on the subject. On April 1st, Mr Baines added a statement to the website, acknowledging that the fairy was a fake. He wrote:
Even if you believe in fairies, as I personally do, there will always have been an element of doubt in your mind that would suggest the remains are a hoax. However, the magic created by the possibility of the fairy being real is something you will remember for the rest of your life.
Alas the fairy is fake but my interest and belief has allowed me to create a work of art that is convincing and magical. I was also interested to see if fairy folklore is still a valid belief in modern society and I am pleased to say that yes it is! I have had more response from believers than I ever thought possible.
The images and selected parts of the description were soon posted on other websites, forums and blogs and also began circulating via email. However, many of the circulating versions did not include the artist's statement owning up to the prank. The model is of such good quality, and the description so convincing, that many people truly believed that the "find" was genuine.
Humans have long had an intense fascination with magical creatures. Perhaps, deep down, many of us would like to believe that fairies really do live at the bottom of our gardens. The surprising popularity of the Derbyshire fairy suggests that it has successfully tapped into that deep-seated human fantasy. In fact, despite the artist's public statement, some have refused to believe that the fairy is not real and have even suggested a government conspiracy.
On April 8, 2007 the fairy was sold on eBay for �????????????????????????�???????????????????????�??????????????????????�?????????????????????�????????????????????�???????????????????�??????????????????�?????????????????�????????????????�???????????????�??????????????�?????????????�????????????�???????????�??????????�?????????�????????�???????�??????�?????�????�???�??�?�£280.00 and, according to the BBC, is now in a private art collection in the United States.
Hopefully, the sale has provided some manner of closure to fairy lovers around the world. But, be warned, Dan Baines admits that he is now addicted to April Fool's Day pranks and advises that more may follow.

I get
you with little siblings. They start off real sweet, albeit little outbursts,
then as they grow up, they want more attention and start trying to push me off
the family tree.. 
Well,
with that great particular person mine is vying for attention for, I quite
understand... But it can get irritating. And painful. For all sides.
Hmmm..how violent? I remember that I did my bit of pushing around and getting others hurt o.0 But I stopped when at one point, it resulted in actual bloodshed.. now, I can get paranoid about handling breakable stuff.. sometimes, I can vividly imagine the stuff breaking into shards. Luckily, it doesn't actually happen often. And there's supposed to be a Chinese belief that breaking some crockery during a stressful period helps to reduce 'yin' or negative energy or something similar.. I don't recommend you guys to start throwing your plates though!

I've been trying to modify my userpage a bit... but I don't quite like how the quotes and font look .. the usual colour codes don't seem to work. My background colour..I put in lots of codes at first but they all didn't work so I ended up just typing in azure. Does it look like azure to you?! 0.0 Well, tips are welcomed about that.. and I know it's missing a picture up there; I will do that when I have time.
Midsummer Night Dream is actually a Shakespeare play.
I never read the actual thing before but it's definitely Faerie-related.
Titania is the Faerie Queen, who rules the day side of the faerie realm; Oberon
is her official spouse, the Faerie King, ruler of the Night. Unfortunately,
Titania, having the fickle fairy side of hers, has lost interest in him. Being
male, Oberon can't stand for that. So he enlists Puck, a mischief-maker, to cast
a love spell on her to make her fall in love with him again. But, of course,
this doesn't go smoothly and mortals are accidentally involved in this lovers'
tiff, with some ridiculous results, concerning spurned lovers, temperamental
actors, broken hearts tampered with love magic and... a donkey's head (?!)
It's not the usual read, I admit. But the spin-offs other authors made from it can be quite interesting. Has anyone read Faerie Tale by Raymond E. Fiest?
